Frequently Asked Questions
What materials can I use this primer on?
This primer works on plastic model parts (ABS and Styrene), as well as metal parts. It bonds well to plastic surfaces and can fill small scratches and imperfections.
When should I use white primer vs. gray primer?
Use white primer for light color paint applications, and use Tamiya gray surface primer for dark color applications. The primer color helps your topcoat color appear more accurate.
Can I sand this primer before painting?
Yes, Tamiya surface primers can be wet sanded before you apply your topcoat paint. This helps create an even smoother surface for painting.
How much product is in each can?
Each can contains 180ml of primer spray.
Is this compatible with my plastic model kit?
This primer is designed for hobby plastic model kits made of ABS and Styrene plastic, which are the standard materials used in most model kits. It also works on metal model parts.
